2027 marks a very important year for the Slovenian Progressive Home and our community: It is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Slovenian Hall, after the building, a former electric power substation, was purchased by the Slovenian community from PG&E in 1927 and converted by the members to a community center. It was incorporated on Aug. 12, 1927. We are planning a big celebration with several activities on a yet to be determined date in 2027 and we hope to be able to improve the Hall's infrastructure by the time of the event as well. We are also going to ask for volunteers to make our plans and this event as successful as possible, so please stay tuned for more details.
